How we are different from other platforms
Since the team at MySadaqat started out as donors before we aspired to be a platform for donors, we have that unique perspective of the donor at heart. This is a platform built for donors first and foremost. Don’t get us wrong, we do everything in our power to serve the campaigns that choose our platform, making sure they succeed in every sense of the word. But, in the end, we aim to make sure that this platform is a safe and satisfying experience for donors. Because when donors are unhappy, or they lose trust, campaigns will never succeed no matter how well designed they may be.
Hence, our donor experience is second to none. Everything is above board on this platform to ensure that donors can explore a campaign to their heart’s delight before making that all important decision to donate their hard-earned money. Our platform has a few extra security steps that every new campaign has to clear before their campaign can go live on the MySadaqat platform: they need to upload bank statements, have personal references validated and upload valid national ID documents. Secondly, campaigns over $10,000 will have added verification steps to ensure that money is being used as promised, up to and potentially including a site visit by MySadaqat staff
