Helping out wherever it may benefit

<div><span style="color: rgb(0, 138, 0);">The work of teaching the religion has a cost. When we don't support our institutions of learning, they close down and this leads to the spread of ignorance in our society. When we look to the hadith of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) to understand the virtue of supporting students of knowledge, we learn:</span></div><div><br></div><div class="ql-align-right"><span style="color: rgb(0, 138, 0);">عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ أَخَوَانِ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَانَ أَحَدُهُمَا يَأْتِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْآخَرُ يَحْتَرِفُ فَشَكَا الْمُحْتَرِفُ أَخَاهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَعَلَّكَ تُرْزَقُ بِهِ</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 138, 0);">Anas ibn Malik reported: There were two brothers in the time of the Prophet, may Allah exalt his mention and send upon him peace, one of whom would attend the lessons of the Prophet and the other would engage in business. The businessman complained to the Prophet about his brother, and the Prophet said, “</span><strong style="color: rgb(0, 138, 0);">Perhaps you are granted provision because of him.</strong><span style="color: rgb(0, 138, 0);">” (Tirmidhī:</span><strong style="color: rgb(0, 138, 0);"><em>Sahih</em></strong><span style="color: rgb(0, 138, 0);">&nbsp;according to Al-Albani)</span></div><div class="ql-align-right"><br></div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 138, 0);">Furthermore ...</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 138, 0);">There was a young man studying under the Maliki Scholar, Imam Muhammad ibn Sahnun (rahimahumallah). This student’s father came to the teacher and said to him, "I will take care of my son’s expenses by working myself, so I do not distract him from him studies."</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 138, 0);">Imam Ibn Sahnun (rahimahullah) replied: "Do you realize that your reward for this is greater than ‘Umrah and guarding the Islamic borders?"</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 138, 0);">This report should serve as an inspiration to every person who supports another who has dedicated himself to Islamic knowledge. When such students are supported in their livelihood and related expenses, thereby being freed from the responsibility of earning and its related affairs. This will allow such a student to be totally dedicated to his studies. And what a great reward for the one who is blessed to support such a person. Indeed, this act, supporting the spread of beneficial knowledge, is from the actions that will continue to benefit you even after your death:</span></div><div><br></div><div class="ql-align-right"><span style="color: rgb(0, 138, 0);">&nbsp;عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا مَاتَ الْإِنْسَانُ انْقَطَعَ عَنْهُ عَمَلُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ ثَلَاثَةٍ إِلَّا مِنْ صَدَقَةٍ جَارِيَةٍ أَوْ عِلْمٍ يُنْتَفَعُ بِهِ أَوْ وَلَدٍ صَالِحٍ يَدْعُو لَهُ</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 138, 0);">Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah exalt his mention and send upon him peace, said, “When the human being dies, his deeds end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.”</span></div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 138, 0);">(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 138, 0);">Will you then not take advantage of this golden opportunity to support students in their quest to learn and share our beautiful religion?</span></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div>

Support an Inmate in Getting their full Islamic Education

<p>The <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVsOAi9gWPY" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">IOU Prison Initiative</a> has been established to provide authentic Islamic education to the incarcerated Muslim population in the USA. The lack of Muslim support for the incarcerated makes it difficult for them to receive the correct guidance they often seek.</p><p><br></p><p>The incarcerated will have the choice to study our Islamic Studies Diploma or Undergraduate course of Islamic and Arabic studies. By doing this we hope to aid their rehabilitation process, and assist in preparing them for a successful and productive life after prison. We have successfully been doing this program for over the past 10 years with very rewarding results. <p><span style="color: rgb(77, 77, 77);">Jazak Allahu khayr (may Allah reward you with good). Your contribution will feed the crew installing the well for the duration of the installation process (one day). This will go toward the efforts to install wells that will serve up to 12 different farmers, allowing them to increase their rice harvest as well as their own personal income in the poor, rural villages of Java.</span></p>

<p>They say that ‘water is life’…and it is true – it is a hard fact, and not just only for humans, but also for animals and plants. And in this case by providing simple water wells in rice fields throughout far, and out-of-reach villages, many will benefit from your kind donations. For every rice field water well that Amanah Relief Center installs, through your kind donations, 10-12 farmers will benefit tremendously. How so?</p><p><br></p><p>Each rice field water well can reach 2-3 hectares of farmland. By providing these water wells to the 10-12 farmers, they each will be able to increase their annual harvest from twice a year to three (3) times a year. This means that you have now helped secure and supply hundreds and thousands of kilograms of rice grains for the local market, but more importantly, you have increased each of the farmers' yearly income by 30%.</p><p><br></p><p><img src="https://mysadaqat.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/campaigns/1704987721775-ARCWaterwell.jpg"></p><p><br></p><h3>What is the problem&nbsp;</h3><p>The lack of ‘consistent’ water is a major issue for farmers here in Java, Indonesia, especially during the 6 month long dry season across the archipelago islands of Indonesia. For the last few years, but this year especially, most of the country has felt an extreme drought to the point that we have witnessed in several districts that the communities have performed the ‘rain prayer’ in congregation and on the dry fields to ask Allah for rain.</p><p><br></p><p>Each of these water wells that are installed takes one (1) full day's work for three (3) guys, drilling 16-20 meters deep, installing a 2” PVC pipe, and pumping the groundwater out until the water is clean and flowing. Once this is completed, the 10-12 farmers involved will coordinate a schedule to take turns getting water into their individual rice fields; where they work together to help each other succeed and want the best for each other.</p><p><br></p><iframe class="ql-video" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="true" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/4kxwtcb6i5Y?showinfo=0"></iframe><p><br></p><p>Our costs are detailed below:</p><p><br></p><p><img src="https://mysadaqat.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/campaigns/1704987520438-ARCcostsrice.png"></p><p><br></p><h3>When to donate (urgency)?&nbsp;</h3><p>Your donation is needed immediately. We are also currently raising awareness, specifically in Java, Indonesia itself – which is comprised of many islands – since Indonesia has been feeling the drought for the last few years in many of its diverse provinces. Once your donation is received, we will immediately work with our team on the ground to get your ‘rice field’ water well completed in a swift timeline - for the farmers’ benefit and your continued reward with Allah, as this is hoped to qualify as a sadaqah jaariyah (continuous charity).</p><p><br></p><p>Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “<em>When the human being dies, his deeds end except for three: a continuous (or ongoing) charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him</em>.” (Sahih Muslim)</p><p><br></p><p>And</p><p><br></p><p>Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “<em>Verily, among the good deeds that will join a believer after his death are these: knowledge which he taught and spread, a righteous child he leaves behind, a copy of the Quran he leaves for inheritance, a mosque he has built, a house he built for travelers, a well he has dug, and charity distributed from his wealth while he was alive and well. These deeds will join him after his death</em>.” (Sunan Ibn Mājah - hasan)</p><p><br></p><p>EACH water well will be tagged with an aluminum tag at the top of the pipe so that the farmers know who donated to ‘that’ specific water well, and inshaAllah they will make continuous dua for the donors, beyond the reward for the continuous charity hoped for from the many liters of water that helps grow millions upon millions of rice grains to feed humanity.</p><p><br></p><p>Each (aluminum) tag will include:</p><p><br></p><p>- This water well was donated by: YOUR NAME</p><p>- Installed by: Amanah Relief Center</p><p>- Location: Village/City (of installation)</p><p>- Date: Date of installation.</p><p><br></p><p><img src="https://mysadaqat.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/campaigns/1704987846719-ARCWaterwell_3.jpg"></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><h3>Why this is important?&nbsp;</h3><p>These farmers are in dire need of your donations to install these water wells because there is little to no assistance from the government – especially in the far and out-of-reach villages, where we focus our relief efforts.</p><p><br></p><p>These rural communities are already struggling daily; not to mention that rice is Indonesians’ main food staple. Without these water wells, farmers and their local communities will continue to face hardship due to the lack of water access, especially the rice field farmers.</p><p><br></p><p>Alhamdulillah, ARC has visited several districts and provinces throughout parts of Java, Sulawesi, Maluku, and other pockets of Indonesia, and the same question comes up, “…why only 1x or 2x harvest per year?” And the repeated response is, “…due to the lack of water.” ARC has been blessed to have already provided sixteen (16) rice field water wells within the last 2 years and we are hoping to continue to install many more rice field water wells in the near future with your kind support and participation.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>As part of the ARC’s oath, and as part of our Amanah (trust) to our donors, we are committed to providing proof of the works that are being done based on our agreement between you, the donor, and ARC - the trust to get the works done as promised and accordingly.
